Our mission is to build upon King Hussein's lifelong dedication to human security, social equity and peace in Jordan, the Middle East and beyond through our programs and institutions which promote education and leadership, sustainable development,women and girls empowerment,participatory decision making,  and cross-cultural understanding.

KHF programs and institutions:

  • Promote social equity and economic empowerment by providing access to work opportunities, loans, equity investments, and enterprise development.
  • Expand access to quality education and leadership training throughout Jordan and the region.
  • Serve as a catalyst for socioeconomic transformation by providing critical research to policymakers and development advocates.
  • Share 30 years of our best practice models in sustainable development, capacity building, family healthcare and cross-cultural exchange with countries throughout the broader Arab and Asian regions.


Will Jordanian Civil Society Organizations remain Sustainably 'Impeded' in 2013?

The political upheavals in the region have radically altered the landscape of civil society organizations (CSO), as well as the environments which they operate in. As a result, the rising demand for wider political participation has driven CSOs to blossom, sharpening their focus on press freedom, advocacy and human rights issues. To better understand these changes, the Information and Research Center (IRC) is undertaking the Civil Society Organization Sustainability Index to assess CSO activity in Jordan. read more..
