October 23, 2012 – Next month the National Center for Culture and Arts (NCCA) will host the second international forum of the Euro-Mediterranean network for artistic and cultural cooperation EUROMEDINCULTURE(s),with the Association for the European and International Cultural Development (France) and 8 other members from Europe and the Mediterranean.
This theme of this year’s forum, under the Patronage of the Jordanian Ministry of Culture, is entitled “Arts for Social Change and Development” and will take place from November 4-6, 2012 at the Royal Cultural Center and the NCCA Theater in Amman.
NCCA Director Lina Attel says that the forum aims to promote joint cooperation between member States in the form of creative projects in the field of performing arts, visual arts and literature, along with radio and television arts.
The three-day event seeks to promote cultural and artistic exchange in the Euro-Mediterranean countries participating in the forum including Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Germany, France and Slovenia.
In addition to panel sessions and workshops, there will be a cultural market to provide all participating countries with an opportunity to showcase ongoing activities, work and projects.
There will also be video presentations of dance, theatre, and visual arts in addition to live theatrical performances presented every evening at the Royal Cultural Center.
The Euro-Mediterranean Network was founded in 2004 by the European Cultural Development Association with the support of the European Union.
The National Center for Culture and Arts (NCCA) was established in 1987 to promote social development, cross-cultural understanding and tolerance through national and international training and exchange programs.
